Structure of the Urban Management Program , M.Sc.
The Urban Management Master's course is a full-time program conducted over 3 semesters. The first and second semesters include the core modules: Urban Economics, Governance, Resource Management, Spatial Justice and Project Management.
The third semester is reserved for thesis preparation. The Master's thesis will provide a 'bridge' to the students's post graduate work. Topics can include research questions relating to the student's home country, or to Germany or a third country. The thesis may be prepared in Germany or abroad – with supervision via the internet.
Considering climate change, the UM will no longer carry out field trips, which involve plane trips.
